Donate to Chris's Journey Back to Stability
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Jen Krosp and I have known Chris Bandt since 1991 when I started working at Domino's Pizza.
Chris came out to Pacific Palisades in February of 1988 from Eau Claire, WI to help his brother Bill and his wife Teddi run a Domino's Pizza. They used to donate to Palisades High School, Palisades Elementary, and Marquez School. They were big on giving back to the community, such as PBBA, Boy Scouts, and other Palisades organizations. Business started going down after 9/11, then in 2007, after they had been Domino’s for 20 years, they took everything down and became Palisades Pizza.
Chris got sick in 2009, and doctors removed 88% of his intestines in 2018.
Business picked up for a while in 2007 until 2020. COVID-19 did a number on them. They lost all of their savings. They were struggling to stay relevant with the rise of Uber, DoorDash, Menufy, Slice, and GrubHub ordering. By 2024, all of their drivers had left to work for these online companies. The store burning to the ground was devastating as it was Chris’ sole income, and because of his medical problems, it will be hard to find a job.
Any donation helps, and will go straight to Chris to help him get back onto his feet once he's out of the hospital (from smoke inhalation from being in a burning building).
Please help my friend who would give the shirt off his back to all of us. Thank you for any contribution!
