Hey everyone, my name is Chris Sennet I’m 40 years old and I’ve spent most of my life working hard in the service industry while also chasing my passion as a musician in a local band. Called quit everything Recently, life threw me a curveball I never saw coming.
Yesterday, I tore my ACL or meniscus playing softball in a work league game. At first, I thought it was just a bad strain, but after getting checked out, I found out it’s definitely much more than that and more than likely requires surgery. The problem? I don’t have health insurance — and the cost of treatment is overwhelming.
The orthopedic clinic is asking for nearly $1,000 upfront just to get an MRI and the total cost of surgery and recovery is expected to be around $10,000. worst case scenario. On a service industry income, that number feels impossible.
But I’m not giving up.
This injury has taken me out of work, made it nearly impossible to get around, and has put my band life and income on hold. I just want to get this fixed, get back to work, and return to the things I love — making music, staying active, and taking care of myself.
I’m asking for help to cover the cost of surgery and recovery so I can get back on my feet — literally.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. And if you can’t donate, just sharing this would mean the world.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give.
– Chris
