Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
One of our own, Chris, has been facing an unimaginable health battle since January 13th. What started as severe neck pain turned into a life-threatening medical crisis, leading to multiple hospital stays, a major infection, and a series of complications that have kept him out of work for over a month.
While in the ER, Chris was diagnosed with Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) and admitted to the ICU. Soon after, doctors discovered a serious blood infection, requiring powerful antibiotics to fight it off. As more tests were run, he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis from C2 to C6, a painful condition compressing his spine. Despite hospital treatments, his pain remained uncontrolled, and complications continued.
While undergoing treatment, Chris developed a bleeding ulcer, and during the procedure to repair it, doctors found an exposed artery—a dangerous situation that required him to be transferred to another hospital’s ICU as a precaution. Thankfully, he avoided further complications, but his struggle was far from over.
After being discharged, Chris’ pain persisted. He suffered multiple falls at home, requiring emergency medical assistance. Despite multiple ER visits and another hospital stay, relief remained elusive. Now, with his pain somewhat controlled, the next hurdle is determining if and when surgery can be performed to address his spinal stenosis.
Chris has not been able to work since January 10th, leaving his family in a difficult financial situation. With only one income, covering everyday expenses—let alone the mounting medical bills—is overwhelming.
We are reaching out to our community to help ease the burden. Every donation, no matter how small, will go toward medical expenses, household bills, and supporting Chris as he continues to fight for recovery. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Chris in your thoughts and prayers.
Chris has always been someone who shows up for others—now it’s our turn to show up for him. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
