Dear friends, family, and kind strangers. My name is Chris Foster and I am reaching out for help during one of the most devastating times in my life.

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, my home was tragically destroyed in a house fire. What started as a normal day turned into a nightmare as flames quickly engulfed everything I worked so hard to build over the years. The fire started in the living room due to an electrical fault in the wiring, and despite the quick response from firefighters, the damage was extensive. I've lost my home, my belongings, and irreplaceable memories (photos, family heirlooms, and the sense of security that comes with a place to call my own). Thankfully, I am safe and made it out unharmed, but now I am facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding from scratch.

Right now, the road ahead is long. Unfortunately, I did not have homeowners insurance. There are immediate needs like lodging and household items, not to mention the emotional toll this has taken on me. I am starting this GoFundMe to raise $70,000 to help cover: Emergency housing and relocation expenses, replacement of basic necessities such as clothes, furniture, and appliances, and repairs and rebuilding the cost of my house.
