Donate to Chloe's Lifesaving Medical Care

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Mary, and I am working to raise funds for my daughter Amanda and her husband John for their daughter Chloe's continued medical care.

Amanda gave birth prematurely to our first granddaughter last November. Chloe was born at 28 weeks and needed specialized medical care in the NICO for her first five months of life.

Chloe now requires ongoing visits with specialists to keep her progress moving forward. Please consider donating to Chloe's care and medical needs fund.

Bless you for your time and consideration. Here is a little insight to what they are currently facing.

Chloe Mcfarling-Cicola
Age: 8mths, 5mths corrected due to prematurity

Thank you so much for taking the time to donate and/or share our fundraiser for our daughter Chloe.
A little about her: She was born 12 weeks early due to undiagnosed pre-eclampsia, and in the HELPP stage, and is now on a special diet to ensure that she grows to the best of her abilities. She is also on a thickened formula to ensure she doesn’t choke while eating. She does have a heart murmur that was treated by Phoenix Children’s Hospital in December of 2023 but she might need a second surgery. She also has BPD, much like chronic lung disease or an extreme case of asthma due to being born so early.

She loves her fruits and some veggies but needs the calories from her formula first to ensure her growth is on track; she’s currently 11lbs 13 oz. Her bottles consist of 33 calories per 30ml with added MCT oil and oatmeal cereal for thickness and increased caloric consumption.

Copays for her dietician are approximately $550 for each visit. Her feeding therapist’s copay is $685 per visit until our $10,000 deductible is met. We are underwater, to say the least, drawing on both sides of our families which has caused pressure and stress for everyone involved; one week and two specialist visits ran us $1300 leaving little left over for our car payment, mortgage, and groceries let alone electric, water, internet, sewer and garbage, HOA payment, and so forth. She also sees a pulmonologist, cardiologist, and physical therapist to ensure that her gross motor skills are developing properly.

She will need a second barium study which tests her swallowing capabilities; we are unsure at this time what this test and study will cost. It is our goal this calendar year to reach our $10,000 out of pocket deductible through donations as we are currently unable to afford the cost of treatments and tests. Last year ran us approximately $25,000-$30,000 in medical costs and transportation alone; we spent approximately $1200 a month for five months driving to and from Phoenix Children's Hospital ($6000 in gas alone).

Please consider making a small donation to her cause of continued care and development.
