Hi Everyone! If you know me, then you know I love my cat, Chicken, more than anything else in this world. He is the sweetest boy. I got him when he was about 4 weeks old, and we have now been together for 15 years.

Chicken received life-saving care at the emergency vet last night. He stayed in the ICU overnight for fluid buildup in his lungs and possible heart problems (likely induced by a medication he had a bad reaction to). Luckily, we got him there in time for them to treat him and get his oxygen levels back to normal. They monitored him closely all night and released him this afternoon. He is currently being treated for two possible diagnoses, and we won’t know for sure what caused this until we go back in a week for another round of x-rays and a visit to the cardiologist to rule things out.

The emergency room charges are astronomical but were necessary for his treatment. We are so lucky and happy to have him back home!!!
