I hope this message finds you in good spirits. Since October 2023, my life has taken an unexpected turn. After a fall that led to surgery, I now face the daily reality of being unable to walk. While I've sought care in various rehab facilities and received physical therapy (though not consistently), my journey to recovery remains ongoing.

Currently, I am residing in a care home, requiring round-the-clock assistance for daily activities. Initially, the plan was for me to return home with caregiving and therapy support; however, I’ve recently learned that this isn’t a feasible option for me. Despite my efforts, the physical therapy requested for me has been denied without explanation, leaving me seeking a second opinion to understand my path forward.

I want to share with you what I can still do: I have full use of my upper extremities and my mind remains sharp. I can move my feet, ankles, and legs, although they are stiff and often painful—especially my left leg. I’m adapting to my wheelchair, though as someone of shorter stature, it’s a learning process.

Through it all, my son Bryan has been a pillar of encouragement, reminding me of the love and support I have around me. His words, “I want my momma back,” continue to echo in my heart, motivating me to keep going, even when the journey feels overwhelming. Remember the time we shared stories, love and just being in each other's presence? Ok Moments like those remind me of the importance of friendship and support.

As many of you know, I’ve always been active in showing support to others. Unfortunately, my current limitations prevent me from doing so in the ways I once could. This has brought moments of frustration and depression, but I find strength and guidance through daily prayer and conversation with God. I remain steadfast in my faith and determination.

Today, I kindly ask for your continued prayers and, if you’re able, donations to help me access the consistent care and physical therapy I need to rebuild my life. Insurance covers certain aspects of my care, but the cost of living in a facility that provides comprehensive support is entirely out-of-pocket.
