Campaign Update

My name is Fatima Haidari. I am an Afghan woman and a refugee living in Italy. I have fought my whole life for getting an education. Education has been one of the most transformative forces in my own life, and I now try to use the opportunities I have in Italy to support other Afghan women and girls in accessing education.

Amullbanin is an Afghan girl who won a scholarship to study at the American university of Paris. She contacted me directly through email asking for help and explaining about her situation. Before creating this fundraiser, I verified her admission to The American University of Paris and the scholarship she received.

I am the organizer of this fundraiser and will personally withdraw the funds through my GoFundMe account in Italy. I will then send the funds directly to Amullbanin, in her own name, through MoneyGram using a traceable transaction. No intermediary will be involved.

The funds will be used for the expenses described above, including her Pakistani visa, travel costs, Campus France and French student visa-related fees, accommodation, transportation, and other necessary expenses related to completing her visa process and reaching France for her studies.

We have now reached our €3,500 fundraising goal, and I want to sincerely thank every person who donated, shared the fundraiser, or supported us in any way.

Your generosity has brought Amullbanin one step closer to completing her visa process, reaching France, and beginning her studies at The American University of Paris.

Thank you for believing in her education and for helping turn this opportunity into something real.

More about Amullbanin
My name is Amullbanin. I am 20 years old and from Bamyan, Afghanistan.

In Afghanistan, girls are currently banned from secondary school and university. For many of us, continuing our education now depends on finding another path.

I chose not to give up.

I continued studying online and graduated from High Bluff Academy in June 2025 with a 3.55 GPA. On January 19, 2026, I scored 93/120 on the TOEFL.

After years of studying under difficult circumstances, I was accepted to The American University of Paris to study Computer Science.

That acceptance means everything to me. But being accepted is not the same as being able to get there.

My Mother Made This Possible

My mother knows what it means to lose access to education. She had to leave school when she was young and was married at an early age.

She wanted a different future for me.

When I needed to pay my university deposit, she sold her jewelry so I would not lose my place.

Because of our financial situation, I had to defer my studies. I am now hoping to begin in January 2027.

Why I Am Raising €3,500

Before I can travel to France, I need to go to Pakistan to complete my French student visa process.

I am raising €3,500 to cover:

- My Pakistani visa
- Travel to and from Pakistan
- Campus France and visa-related fees
- Accommodation while I complete the process
- Food and daily expenses
- Local transportation
- Other necessary visa-related costs

This amount is the final barrier between me and the university place I have already worked so hard to earn.

Why This Matters Beyond Me

I also teach English to girls in Afghanistan.

Some of them travel long distances just to attend a two-hour lesson.

They are growing up in a country where formal education has been taken away from them, but they still show up, study, and plan for a future.

I want them to see that politics, oppression, and fear do not have to define who we become.

If I am able to reach France and continue my education, I hope to use that opportunity not only to build my own future, but also to help create opportunities for other Afghan girls.

How You Can Help

I have already completed high school, taken the TOEFL, earned university admission, and paid my deposit with the help of my mother’s sacrifice.

Now I need help with the final practical step: getting through the visa process and reaching France.

If you can donate, any amount will help bring me closer.

If you cannot donate, please share this fundraiser. A single share can reach someone who is able to help.

I do not want my story to end with an acceptance letter.

I want it to begin in a classroom.

Fundraising goal: €3,500

Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting my education.
