Dear Friends,

We come together today with heavy hearts and compassion to support the Norton family during one of the most challenging times of their lives. In an unexpected turn of events, they have recently lost their mother, Barbara Smith.

Barbara leaves behind her partner Ryan and her two daughters Carson and Quinn. Barbara fiercely loved her family. Her sudden departure has left a void that can never be filled.

Barbara will also be deeply missed by her friends and the Clover Ave Elementary staff and community. Barbara loved the students of Clover. Over 10 years of being a parent and then on staff as an aide at Clover, Barbara touched the lives of many children. She helped students in the classroom, kept them safe on the playground, comforted them when they were upset, taught them how to resolve differences and play fairly, and she was always there to listen or talk with any child who needed her. As a Clover parent, she was always ready to step up to lead and volunteer in her daughters’ school and activities.

Barbara’s acts of kindness and generosity are many, and will never be forgotten.

We have set up this GoFundMe campaign in honor of Barbara and the legacy she leaves behind, and to ease the financial burden of the Celebration of Life and other unexpected expenses that the Norton family may experience during this devastating time.
