Donate to Carter's Critical Injury Recovery

On September 7th, our lives were turned upside down when a motorcycle forcefully collided with the passenger side of his dad’s truck—right where Carter was sitting.

He was rushed to Theda, but his injuries were too severe for them to handle. Carter was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee, where he arrived as a Level 1 trauma (the most critical). After extensive testing, doctors discovered multiple life-threatening injuries, including:

A broken orbital floor (the bone around his eye)

Glass shards throughout his face and eye socket

Bruising behind his eye

Three broken ribs and a collapsed lung

A shattered spleen and lacerated liver

A fractured pelvis

A nicked artery

Carter is truly fighting for his life, and his recovery will be long and difficult.

As parents, we are doing everything we can—splitting time between being at Carter’s side in the hospital and caring for our other four children at home. The emotional and financial toll is overwhelming, and we humbly ask for your support.
