Carson's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
Carson is truly a blessing from heaven. He is the person who gives the best hugs, makes you laugh the hardest, and offers his helping hands to anyone. With his college graduation coming up in the next few weeks, we have encountered an unexpected obstacle. In less than two weeks, Carson was diagnosed with a condition called “Aplastic Anemia” , a rare condition when the body stops producing new blood cells in the bone marrow. This condition is so rare, the percentage is 0.7-4.1 out of one million. Even with washing your hands properly, not smoking, drinking, and on a healthy diet, it shows anything can affect anyone. Treatment consists of chemotherapy / radiation, plasma transfusions, and a bone marrow transplant. Although this is scary, Carson still feels like himself by cracking jokes and wanting to go back to work as soon as he can. He is the kindest soul you will ever meet. His dream is to be come a wildlife conservation biologist to help endangered animals repopulate again. Although this journey will be long and scary, we know Carson will beat this no matter how long it takes.
UPDATE: we have been blessed with the opportunity to have a corporate willing to match up to $10,000…let’s meet that goal and get the match!!
UPDATE: a VERY special thank you to Dan, the owner of Pilgrim Pest Professionals, and to everyone who got the donations over $10,000. As of April 29th, Dan stopped by and dropped off his check matching that $10,000 in donations.
