My niece Carolyn has been hospitalized since September recovering from Guillain-Barre Syndrome. She went in the hospital with a virus and her body was paralyzed from head to toe a week later. It was a scary time and it has been a tough road, but she is making progress with the help of my sister, Shannon, brother-in-law, Joey, and sister Emily(The Jacobs Family). Carolyn is one of the toughest people we all know! She was able to stand with assistance for the first time in months without pain in her legs last week. Each day she is working hard with her physical and occupational therapist. Such an accomplishment for her. This is a reminder of all the things we take for granted each day! Sitting up and moving a finger are feats that she makes each day. At this time, there are feats that the family must accomplish for Carolyn at this time to continue her recovery. Medical bills and equipment costs are significant and essential for her recovery. A special vehicle to transfer her to and from therapy is needed for her and her wheelchair when she gets out of Kessler Therapy. I have created this fund to help my Goddaughter Carolyn and her family with the insurmountable costs. Anything you can give is greatly appreciated and will make a difference for this beloved family. If prayers are all that you can give at this time, we covet them as well.
Thank you so much!
