Hi everyone! 

I collapsed and had a seizure at work on 5/14 (I had never had a seizure before). I was taken by ambulance to New York Presbyterian Hospital where I had a CT scan done and they found a sizable mass on my brain. I was speechless. I was transported to Weill Cornell Medical Center that night. My mom flew up to NYC on 5/15, I went into surgery around 3pm on 5/16, and I was discharged by 5/18.

Over the last 2 months I’ve been back in Mississippi continuing to recover, heal, and improve everyday! We made the long trip on Sunday, July 28th to MD Anderson in Houston where we have decided to proceed with treatment. I will be receiving combined proton radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

I am so lucky to have the most supportive family and friends. I am lucky to be at one of the best hospitals in the world, with doctors and nurses that I know genuinely care about me and ones that I can trust.

I know the Lord is with me and has His healing hand in everything. Nothing surprises Him. I’ve prayed for comfort and strength for my family, friends, and all of those who have prayed for me and sent positive, healing energy my way. I have this overwhelming sense of peace that everything is going to be ok.
