Caroline and Caleb’s New Beginning After Hurricane Helene

My name is Michelle Snyder and I am raising funds for our dear friend Caroline and her sweet boy who lost everything in Hurricane Helene last week. Caroline is a blessed mom of a 4 year old boy named Caleb who was diagnosed with apraxia of speech at 2 and on the Autism spectrum. Caroline has been a single mom to Caleb from the very beginning. He came into the world at the height of COVID. Caroline has been working remotely from home and able to care for Caleb at home until he entered the school system at 3 after graduating from Early Steps. All of her family is in North Carolina so she has not had any help, as they are also dealing with a crisis from Helene too. Caroline moved to Gulf Harbors at the end of 2023 into her dream home and community. Not 5 months later, Caroline was plagued with a variety of symptoms including rashes, swelling, difficulty using her arms, and dizziness. She was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in the end of July and since has incurred a lot of medical bills. On top of all that, they now have lost their car and everything inside the home. Unfortunately since she was renting this home, there will be no reimbursement for damages and all personal belongings that were lost. The money raised will help Caroline and Caleb get into an apartment while they figure out their next steps. Caroline was hesitant about asking for help and has never been one to ask for a hand out but we know that she deserves it and we hope that you will give even just a little to help her and Caleb get into a new home after this terrible tragedy.
