Hello Everyone!

This is Carmen. Carmen is a 21-year-old girl who, up until about a month ago, lived a completely normal life. Carmen is majoring in Business Management with the hopes of managing a hospital one day. As Carmen went to school, she worked at Chick-fil-A as a Hospitality Director and enjoyed leading others! Unfortunately, her health took a decline and she began to become ill. For over a month, she visited many doctors and many ERs, but no diagnosis was given. Now, Carmen is currently admitted in the hospital, where she is currently going through two major surgeries, including brain surgery and spine surgery. Doctors and hospital staff are working to find a cause and find a solution to her illness. Due to the unforeseen circumstances, Carmen has had to drop out of school, has not been able to work, and is facing the financial burden of paying for personal and medical bills. She is also having to pay the university back for the classes she lost due to her illness.

She is currently undergoing a very risky spine surgery, where she might need extensive therapy, a caregiver, and many other extensive medical treatments. She is supported by her single mother, who is currently not able to work and not receiving a paycheck due to needing to support and care for Carmen.

Everyone that knows Carmen knows that she is an upbeat and caring girl who loves to help others. She is amazing to be around and will always make you laugh or support you when needed. It is very unfortunate that someone like Carmen is facing these trials.
