My name is Calvin Chapman. I am a film production student at Loyola Marymount University, and I am crowdfunding for my Junior Thesis: Initiation!

This short film tells the story of Kenneth, an insecure college student, who appears to find a community that accepts him for who he is. In reality, this cult is preying on his vulnerability, and convinces him to hurt the ones closest to him.

This film highlights how when an anxious and self-destructive personality isolate themselves from those who love them most, they can be easily manipulated into believing and joining the wrong crowd. I am passionate about this idea because of my personal experiences, as well as its connection to current social issues.
