My name is Cari Pruitt and I’m raising funds for my brother, Caleb Youngblood.
A few years ago, Caleb began to notice dizziness appearing from seemingly nowhere. He didn’t think much of it at the time. However, over the past few months, the dizziness has worsened and Caleb started experiencing even more, extremely debilitating symptoms.
These symptoms have continued to worsen with time. Inability to sleep, sudden blood pressure changes (resulting in extreme lightheadedness/almost passing out), tingling sensation in his neck, extreme fatigue, uncontrollable sweating, intense anxiety, muscle aches, rapid heartbeat, eye pain, and vision blurriness are only a few of the worst.
He saw a plethora of doctors (cardiologists, psychologists, ER visits, therapists, neurologists), tried multiple medications, and accrued lots of medical expenses, yet still was unable to get a diagnosis.
It has finally come to light that the symptoms are most likely a result of POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), a dysautonomia disorder that is very hard to diagnose.
While it is hopeful to have an idea of what’s going on, the symptoms remain. Caleb can hardly walk across the room without nearly passing out. This has made it impossible for him to work and therefore unable to save up for his rent and other expenses. He has an appointment lined up with a POTS specialist in order to get a treatment plan in place, but needs support in the meantime.
Our family is so thankful and appreciative for all the prayers he has received so far, and ask that if you can, to please consider donating toward his rent/medical expenses. We just want him to feel better and be able to get back to his job, which he absolutely loves. Thank you for your consideration.
