- Our family is praying extra hard this Thanksgiving season for our family member Cait Hibbert Downey. Cait is 38 years old, married to the love of her life, Brett Downey, who together are the most wonderful parents to their loving daughters, Cora, age six, and Phoebe, age four. Unfortunately, Cait was recently diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, and on November 22, 2024, she will have surgery at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, with chemo and radiation to follow. Cait's extended family has established this GoFundMe to help with hospital costs because, unfortunately, Shands Hospital does not accept her insurance. Cait is convinced this is the right group, having met with the team of doctors who offered her encouragement along with a positive and swift outcome. It's who she feels most comfortable with, and for that, we are grateful. This Thanksgiving Season we ask for an abundance of prayers for Cait and her family.
