In loving memory of Izzat al-Shaheed.

The Boy Who Fought With a Lion’s Heart

Izzat was not an ordinary boy — he was strength, patience, and faith all wrapped in one beautiful soul.

At just 10 years old, Izzat had already endured more than most could imagine. He was diagnosed with MDS/AML, a rare and aggressive bone marrow cancer, and spent years in and out of the hospital fighting for his life with unwavering courage. Despite the pain, he never complained. He smiled through every procedure, comforted others when they cried, and said “Alhamdulillah” even when things got hard.

He went through a bone marrow transplant, long hospital stays, and countless complications — yet his heart remained pure, his laughter contagious, and his faith unshakable. Nurses, doctors, and everyone who met him were touched by his calm spirit and bravery. He was known for saying, “I’m okay,” even when he wasn’t — a true reflection of his strength.

But Izzat’s story didn’t end in a hospital room — it continues through light.
He returned to Allah on October 26, 2025, as a shaheed (martyr) — after fighting infections that even doctors couldn’t stop. He left this world surrounded by love, with his father whispering prayers over him.

Now, his family is determined to honor him through ongoing charity projects in his name — wells, Qur’an distributions, and acts of sadaqah jariyah — so that every drop of water and every verse recited continues to give him reward in the next life.

Izzat’s name means “honor,” and that’s exactly what he lived and left behind.
This GoFundMe is dedicated to keeping his legacy alive — spreading light, faith, and hope just as he did every single day.

Water Is Life — A Legacy of Mercy and Reward

Water is life — a blessing that many of us take for granted, yet countless families around the world wake up each day without access to it. Children walk miles under the sun just to fill a small container, and entire communities suffer because a basic human need is missing.

In memory of my beloved son, Izzat al-Shaheed, I wish to dedicate this project to providing clean water wells to those who need them most — so that every drop that nourishes a soul, quenches thirst, or sustains life becomes a continuous charity (sadaqah jariyah) for him.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The best charity is giving water to drink.” (Ahmad)

And he ﷺ also taught us that when a person passes away, their deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.

This project unites all three — ongoing charity, knowledge of compassion, and the love of a child who continues to bring reward to his parents even in the next life.

A Gift of Reward for All Who Give

When you contribute, you are not only giving reward to Izzat — you are also building your own path of eternal reward.
Every donation, no matter how small, is written as sadaqah jariyah for the giver as well.

You can also dedicate your contribution in memory of your own loved ones — so that each drop of water flowing from these wells carries reward to them too. Together, we can turn grief into mercy, and remembrance into life-giving light.

By contributing, you’re not just donating to a well — you’re giving life, offering mercy, and joining in a legacy that will, insha’Allah, bring continuous reward to your loved ones, to Izzat, and to everyone who takes part.

May Allah accept from all of us, grant Izzat the highest place in Jannah, reunite him with those who love him, and make his story a source of guidance and mercy for all who hear it.

This platform exists to support ongoing sadaqah and sadaqah jariyah projects — including water, housing, support for widows, orphans, and the elderly, masjid development, Islamic education, and feeding those in need. Donors may give with intention for themselves, their families, and their deceased. May Allah accept it from all.
