Donate to Bryce's Fight for a Cancer-Free Future

Hi Everyone,

I am reaching out to ask for your support for my friend, Bryce Lievens, a 29-year-old young man who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Testicular Cancer. I wanted to share a bit about his story so that if you are so inclined, you will know a bit more about him and what he is going through. And if you cannot support financially, my hope is that in sharing his story, perhaps one person might take some time to get an annual physical or take some time to talk to a physician about some nagging thing that “isn’t quite right.”

It all started in the Fall of ’24 with some back pain. Bryce is what we call a grinder, can-do, get it done, type of guy. He worked A LOT of golf tournaments last summer and throughout the Fall. Maybe he was more tired than normal but in the event industry, there are times when you are tired, and Bryce does not let his team down. Wasn’t surprising that he would have a bit of back pain, but who has time to get it checked out? Matter of fact, when you are in the thick of it, who has time to get an annual physical? Bryce finally did get to the point where he sought help from a chiropractor and did have that annual physical in early January of ’25 to make sure all was well. The chiropractor did not help much, the annual physical did not show anything troubling.

Flash forward a couple of weeks and Bryce finds himself at an urgent care facility as he was having difficulty catching his breath. Bloodwork showed he might have a blood clot, and he was sent immediately to the hospital. After a lengthy list of tests and bloodwork and imaging he was told that not only did he have blood clots (multiple) in his lungs that needed addressed, but there was also something else lurking. A cantaloupe-sized mass had wrapped itself around his aortic valve, arteries, and nerves and this was the cause of the back pain and the blood clots. More testing followed and here we are with a Stage 3 Testicular Cancer diagnosis. He is currently on day 15 of 84 of his chemotherapy treatment and has at least one surgery to get through after chemo is completed.

Here's the deal. Bryce does have health insurance. Bryce has the support of his family, both biological and very extended work family and friends. Bryce is lucky, not everyone has that, and he is grateful. We want to ensure that once he completes his treatment and surgery is behind him that he is not strapped with a huge financial burden.

Your donation will go directly towards:
• Medical expenses not covered by insurance, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses.
• Travel costs for treatment and ensuring his family can be with him for support.
• Follow-up care

Bryce is an amazing young man. Someone I have had the opportunity to work closely with for quite a while. He has a great attitude and a big dream for life post treatment. I will share more about that in a subsequent post. I know many have reached out to find out how you can support him. Here is your opportunity. Many players have asked about contributing tied to the number of birdies at certain golf tournaments – reach out and we can get something set up.
