On Friday, October 25th, 2024, Brook was admitted to a local hospital for stroke-like symptoms. Doctors then had her airlifted to Thomas Jefferson Memorial Hospital where they found she had a Type A Dissection of her aortic valve, which led to multiple strokes. While she was in the hospital receiving treatment, they also found masses on her thyroid that await further testing. Brook underwent a 10-hour open-heart surgery which went successfully. We are hopeful that she has no lasting damage from the stroke, but are concerned for her recovery. Brook will be in the hospital for weeks and will possibly be out of work for months. She also faces extensive medical bills which she is unable to cover.

Brook is a fighter and has not given up on her fight for life. We have a long road ahead of us, and we need your help to keep her going.
