I'm a mother of 4 (3 boys and 1 girl). On November 3rd, my whole world changed. My daughter Brooke, age 12, was admitted to the hospital with a lot of diagnoses. She is suffering from kidney failure, liver failure, and heart failure. She also has a few viruses called sapovirus and adenovirus, which you can get as easily as touching a shopping cart. The viruses attacked the muscles in her heart, causing blood to not flow properly to all her other organs.

We're in Atlanta at the children's hospital, and they've been running tests but still have no clear answers. Honestly, they have her on ECMO to support her heart. She was supposed to have surgery on Friday for them to place what they call a ventricular assist device inside her heart, but it was canceled due to infection. They said eventually she's going to need a heart transplant and will have to be transferred to Birmingham due to an insurance issue.

We're asking for donations to cover hospital costs, bills for the home, and eventually her needing the transplant itself. Anything helps; also, keep us in your prayers.
