To Help Brooke Through Her Breast Cancer & Surrogacy Journey
Donation protected
I find it difficult to put this into words, but many of you know that my twin sister and best friend, Brooke, was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer yesterday. She has been bravely battling cancer since her first diagnosis last July. This past January, however, she was diagnosed for the second time with a new breast cancer and recently underwent another surgery to check if the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes, which it has. We are fortunate that this stage of cancer is very treatable with chemotherapy and possibly radiation, and her outlook is positive. However, the financial impact will be significant.
Brooke has been open about her IVF journey. Last August, she was supposed to have a transfer of a healthy embryo to start their journey for a second baby. Unfortunately, the cancer has robbed her of the ability to carry a baby, so they have enlisted the help of a surrogate. This comes with a substantial cost, adding to their financial strain.
I am reaching out for your help. My sister means the world to me, and the hope of having a second baby has kept her strong despite the challenges they are facing. I want her to know that there is sunshine ahead and to stay strong and focused. Please share this with your friends and family. Your support means everything to us.
