My name is David Warrick. My niece, Brooke Warrick, has suffered a life-changing disabling medical event. On September 30, 2024, she suddenly became paralyzed from the waist down. She had emergency surgery on L3, L4, and L5 laminectomies and L4-5 discectomy. Her diagnosis was Cauda Equina and a ruptured disc between L4-L5.

She was hospitalized until October 22nd, undergoing inpatient rehab. Since then, she has continued outpatient rehab, staying with her sister and family to assist her in her daily living. She continues in outpatient therapy, depending on family and friends to get her to her appointments. Before she can return to her home, she must have a new porch with a ramp, as well as changes to her bathroom. It is uncertain when she will be able to walk without help. She is a self-employed hair stylist and has been without any income since this happened. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
