Help Us Bring Lost Dogs Home – Support "For the Love of Dogs"
Every lost dog deserves a way home — and we’re here to help make that happen.
For the Love of Dogs is a volunteer-driven, community-based lost dog recovery organization based in Oxford County, Maine. We specialize in calm, humane recovery efforts using tools like feeding stations, trail cams, scent work, and humane trapping. We work closely with animal control officers, local shelters, and residents to reunite lost dogs with the families who love them.
But we can’t do it alone.
Why We Need Your Help
Recovery work takes time, travel, and tools. Your donation will help us fund:
Trail cameras and batteries
Humane traps (including extra-large for frightened or feral dogs)
Crates, leads, and safety gear
Gas for transport across rural Maine
Emergency vet costs for injured or stray dogs
Outreach materials to help educate the public on what to do when they see a lost dog
Every dollar goes directly toward helping lost dogs get home safely and supporting the volunteers working hard behind the scenes.
Your Support Matters
Whether it’s a scared pup hiding deep in the woods or one who just slipped out of a backyard, recovery can take days — or even weeks. Your support helps us stay ready and responsive when that call comes in.
❤️ Give what you can. Share if you can't. Every bit helps a dog get home.
Thank you from all of us at For the Love of Dogs, and from the tails still wagging because someone like you cared.
