Escaping a War Zone: A Journey of Hope& Resilence

My name is Mohanad Ghanim , and I am reaching out to you today with a plea for help. My family and I find ourselves trapped in a war zone, where every day is filled with fear and uncertainty.

We are desperately seeking assistance to evacuate and start anew in a safer environment.

Our Story: A year ago, with sheer determination and hard work, I managed to build a humble home for my family. My role as an account manager allowed me to provide for my loved ones, which includes my amazing wife and our precious little girl. We were content and grateful for what we had accomplished, until the conflict disrupted our lives.

The Challenges We Face:

Living in a war zone has left us with no safe place to call home. The constant threat of violence and destruction has forced us to make the difficult decision to leave everything behind and seek refuge elsewhere. However, the cost of evacuation is exorbitant, with each person requiring $7000 to secure transportation out of the dangerous area.

Our Goal: To ensure the safety and well-being of our family, we are aiming to raise the necessary funds to cover the evacuation costs for five people, which includes my parents as well. Additionally, we hope to gather support for the following six months, amounting to $1000 per month, to cover basic living expenses as we rebuild our lives in a safer environment.

Our Vision: Through this fundraiser, we aim to demonstrate our unwavering love for life and our determination to overcome adversity. We believe that every human being deserves a chance at a secure and peaceful existence, and we are committed to making that a reality for our family.

Your donations will be used to help my family travel safely through Egypt. The money will also help us start a new life, away from bombings and the tough situations they've been facing. How the funds will be used

* Have my family names added to allowed-to-exist lists. (Estimated 35K to 42K USD)

Exiting from Gaza is unlike other parts of the world. In most places, you just pack your bags, head to the airport or border, and you're good to go. But in Gaza, it's different. The only way to flee out of Gaza is through the Rafah crossing point with Egypt.

However, it's not as simple as it sounds. To make it happen, we have to pay what's called "coordination fees" to get the names on the allowed-to-exit lists. As of February, these fees can be as high as 7000 USD per person. The money will be paid to a travel agency in Egypt called Hala, and it's the only way to get my family names on the list so they can be allowed to travel.

Once the names are added to the allowed-to-exit lists, the family will need around 100 USD per person to reach out safely to Cairo.

* Covering new life expenses with basic necessities after evacuation for 6-12 months.(Estimated 15K USD)

The reset amount of collected funds will be used to help the family cover life expenses for the next 6 to 12 months till they settle down.

The campaign is linked with a bank account located in the United Kingdom And once I reach the goal; The funds will be transferred my Family directly through available money transfer services. (Moneygram, Western Union..etc).
