Help Bring Cola-Con Back in 2026

Cola-Con is the nation’s first Hip-Hop and Comic convention, founded in 2011 in Columbia, South Carolina by journalist and hip-hop artist Preach Jacobs. Built to celebrate the intersection of hip-hop, comics, film, and culture, Cola-Con created space for conversations and creativity long before this crossover became mainstream.

Since its founding, Cola-Con has welcomed legendary artists and creators, including Ghostface Killah, The Foreign Exchange, Phife Dawg (A Tribe Called Quest), Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, Sanford Greene, Ed Piskor, LeSean Thomas, and many more. At its heart, Cola-Con has always been about community—uplifting Black creators, independent voices, and the stories that shape our culture.

I’m now working to bring Cola-Con back in 2026, and I’m raising $50,000 to make that possible.

These funds will go directly toward essential costs such as operational costs, deposits, artist and speaker programming, travel, production, staffing, marketing, and insurance—everything required to produce a safe, accessible, and high-quality cultural event.

Cola-Con has always been a grassroots effort. It’s never been backed by major corporations or big budgets—it’s been powered by people who believe in culture, legacy, and creative independence. If you’ve attended Cola-Con before, discovered an artist there, or simply believe this kind of space needs to exist, your support makes a real difference.
