Help Bring Clean Drinking Water to Panji Village
In the remote village of Panji, under the Baduria Block of North 24 Parganas, several impoverished families are facing a growing crisis: the lack of access to clean drinking water. With temperatures soaring and groundwater levels falling, the situation has become dire. These families are daily wage earners and small-scale farmers who cannot afford to purchase water, even if it were available in this isolated region.
Video footage from the areas shows the harsh reality—cracked soil, children helping fetch water, and villagers digging by hand for access. These images speak volumes about the urgency of the need.
My Rotary Club of Kolkata Newbies is launching an urgent appeal to fund a purified drinking water station. The first phase involves boring a 300-foot well and installing a submersible pump, storage tank, and filtration system. The total estimated cost is $800 — a small amount that can transform lives.
Every contribution counts. Please donate today and help us bring life-saving clean water to Panji.
