Hi! I'm Junia. I'm Bridget Homola's sister. We both live in Loveland, CO. As many of you know, Bridget had 5 strokes a few years ago and is now significantly disabled. She's unable to work the types of professional jobs she used to. She's been able to qualify for disability as well as doing laundry through a gig app. But, she's barely able to make ends meet on a good day.
She recently shared with me that she's had multiple unexpected expenses (new glasses, tires for a kid's car, repairing her washing machine so she can keep doing laundry, etc.) which has caused her to get behind on her townhouse mortgage. At this point, she's currently 4 months behind.
On top of that, as many of you might know, there will be no SNAP (food stamps) distributed this month due to the government shutdown. Which means that her entire food budget has disappeared.
As her sister I know it's really bad when she finally admits to me that she's so far behind on her expenses and I wanted to do what I can to help her get back on her feet. All funds will be used to help Bridget get caught up on her mortgage payments as well as buy food for as long as the shutdown continues.
