Hi Everyone!

I never imagined I’d be in this position, but I’m reaching out for a bit of help during an unexpected and stressful time. Recently, I was hit with a sudden medical emergency that requires further testing and surgery. Unfortunately, my insurance isn’t covering some of the most essential parts of my care — including an ultrasound that must be paid for up front. The provider is asking for $650 out-of-pocket before they’ll proceed.

I currently work a full-time job and a part-time job to make ends meet. Normally, that’s enough to cover my regular expenses — but with these unexpected medical bills and my upcoming surgery, I’m facing a gap I can’t bridge on my own. My doctors expect I’ll need to take up to six weeks off from work to recover, which will make things even tighter financially. My full time employer is working with me but my waitstaff job, there's really no working around that. I've been keeping all my normal hours through all of this and working some days in extreme pain and stress and hope this hasn't reflected in my work!
