Hello everyone! My name is Brandy and this past year has been crazy. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the beginning of the year and have undergone radiation to treat it. In that process, I was also diagnosed with idiopathic intracranial hypertension. Basically, in easy terms, I'm making too much of the fluid that surrounds the brain. It is causing the arteries in my brain to collapse. Over the last few months, I have had two brain surgeries to place stents in those arteries to keep them open. Now it's time for the big surgery. I'm having a drain and valve placed in my spine to continuously drain off that excess fluid. This is supposed to be my final step on my path to a longer life!

I have been out of work since the middle of May and my short-term disability only paid through August. My husband Billy has done an amazing job making sure we are keeping the bills paid. I'm beyond proud of him for his hard work. Unfortunately, the medical bills keep piling up and things aren't getting easier. I'm hopeful that after this surgery I'll get to go back to work and give my kids and husband some relief on this strain. If you are able to help, it's greatly appreciated. If not, that's ok too!
