Help Braelon Continue Her Fight for a Life-Saving Kidney Transplant
Our daughter, Braelon, is a true miracle. Since the day she was born, she has faced more challenges than most people experience in a lifetime, yet she continues to meet each day with courage, determination, and a beautiful smile.
Braelon was born with CHARGE syndrome, a rare genetic condition that has affected nearly every part of her life. She is also an extremely rare transplant case due to the many blood transfusions she has received over the years, making the search for a compatible kidney even more difficult.
Throughout her life, Braelon has endured 22 major surgeries, including four open-heart surgeries. She had a tracheostomy for the first 10 months of her life and has undergone 15 nasal dilations. Despite everything, she has never stopped fighting.
She graduated from high school and loved it so much that she volunteered there for three years after graduation. She also proudly competed in the Oklahoma Special Olympics for eight years. Braelon has a heart full of love for people and animals, and her kindness shines through every day.
In November 2023, our lives changed again when Braelon started home peritoneal dialysis after kidney failure. Every night she faithfully completes her dialysis treatments, and she continues to earn gold stars from her dialysis clinic each month for her dedication and hard work.
Braelon has been on the kidney transplant waiting list since 2023 in St. Louis, Missouri. We are now traveling to Dallas, Texas, to be evaluated at another transplant center in hopes of being listed there as well, increasing her chances of receiving the life-saving kidney she desperately needs.
One of Braelon's greatest joys has always been the water. She loves to swim, but because of her dialysis catheter, she can no longer swim or even take a bath. Even through these sacrifices, she continues to smile, love others, and inspire everyone who knows her.
Today, we are asking for your help.
The costs of dialysis, medical appointments, medications, frequent travel, lodging, meals, and time away from work continue to grow. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden so we can focus on what matters most—helping Braelon receive the kidney transplant she so desperately needs.
If you are unable to donate, we ask that you please share Braelon's story and keep her in your prayers. Your support, encouragement, and kindness mean more to our family than words can express.
Thank you for standing beside Braelon on this journey. We continue to pray that the right kidney will come soon and that she will finally receive the gift of a healthier future.
