Brad Russell is an amazing father, partner, nurse, musician, podcaster, and video game history aficionado.

On July 29th, he suffered a stroke that has put him on a long road to recovery. He is currently unable to speak, and his mobility has been largely impacted. It is unclear at this time how long it will take for him to return to 100%, or what his recovery process will look like. He will likely spend the next few months at an inpatient rehabilitation facility. This is an incredibly rare and tragic of event in the life of a 43 year old man.

Before the stroke, he worked hard to provide for his partner and daughter. While his personality and giant heart are what will be missed most during his recovery, there are going to be some financial struggles ahead. Right now the most important thing for Brad and his family is to focus their efforts on his rehabilitation and not finances.

We have set a goal of $10,000 as a starting point. The impact of all costs, medical and otherwise, could be much higher than this figure.
