Hello, my name is Dawn Greene and I’m writing this GoFundMe account on behalf of my lifelong friend, Blanca DeLeon.

Blanca had an accident on Christmas Eve where she was run over by her truck. Her right upper leg was crushed, causing ligament and tendon damage, and she has been waiting over 3 weeks for the swelling and bleeding to go down so she can have surgery to repair the damage. After 3 different hospitalizations, her surgery is finally scheduled for 1/23/25, exactly one month after her accident. I am asking for financial help for Blanca to cover this surgery, since her insurance only covers 80%. The surgery center is asking for 20% before they will do it, almost $2,000. Blanca is on a fixed income and this one, in addition to her others, is adding up. I know this is a tough time for all, but if you can spare anything, please donate. Blanca has a huge heart and is always one to help those in need. She has spent her last 2 years running a clothing closet for the homeless, and picking up donations and delivering them as much as possible. She is always cooking and feeding the homeless animals as well and keeps food in her truck for them.
