Hello, I am making this fundraiser on behalf of Berto. On July 17, 2025, Berto was driving to pay his property taxes. He was doing everything right, following road safety regulations, when a company pickup truck ran a red light, speeding, and t-boned him, throwing him into the stoplight pole. Thankfully, we still have him here with us, but unfortunately, he has broken bones, cuts, bruises, surgery ahead, and physical therapy to walk. He’s facing medical bills, everyday living expenses, and the loss of his lawn care equipment that was damaged in the accident — his livelihood.

He is robbed of being able to play and provide for our 2-year-old son, who doesn’t understand why daddy can’t hold or play with him. But we thank the Lord for protecting him and allowing him to hypothetically walk out of the accident that could have had a different outcome.

I wanted to share his story, one, for any help that is truly greatly appreciated (even keeping him in your thoughts), and two, to remind drivers, please don’t speed or text and drive. Accidents happen, and you never know who’s in the car or what the outcome will be. It’s not worth it. God bless and hold your loved ones close!
