Subject: Support needed for Prosthetic Eye Implant

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters.

I hope the message finds you well. I’m writing to share a deep personal and difficult journey of my life, and to ask for your support during this challenging time.

After experiencing a traumatic injury to my right eye, I have struggled with severe chronic pain, frequent infections, and extreme sensitivity to medications that have worsened the flare-ups. After exhausting all other options, my doctors and I made the incredibly difficult decision to remove the eye and replace it with a prosthetic eye implant to finally relieve the constant pain and suffering.

Though this was a necessary step for my health, it has come with significant financial burdens, including medical bills, surgical expenses, the cost of a prosthetic eye, follow-up treatments, and therapy to help me adjust to this new reality. The emotional and physical challenges of this experience have been overwhelming. This experience has come with my new normal day to day that includes wearing an eye patch because I am uncomfortable with new appearance, having to be prepared for invasive personal questions at all times and the financial strain has added to the difficulty.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you, my friends, family and generous strangers.
