Hi everyone!! This is Russ & Cheryl Rose and we are raising money for a good friend of ours, that we've known for years, Barry Schleider!

Barry was a chiropractor for over 40 years, and a respected reserve police officer for years at the Costa Mesa Police Department in Costa Mesa, California. My husband, Russ, and I both worked with him over the years,  and know him as a hard-working, reliable, Christian man!

The last eight months have been horrible for him as he was violently attacked while walking in downtown Huntington Beach, CA by a mentally crazed person who assaulted him from behind. The suspect picked him up and threw him down on his head onto the concrete sidewalk, knocking him unconscious.

Barry woke up in the hospital several days later with numerous injuries, the main one being a severe brain injury. Additionally, he sustained broken ribs, a broken pelvis, and numerous other injuries that have left him unable to work, drive, or do just normal everyday things in life. 

To add to that pain, he's being threatened with eviction and also may lose his older companion dog in the process, which he absolutely does not want to happen! 

He is going to a rehabilitation center, but because he can't drive, he's finding it difficult to get there.

We are trying to assist him financially and emotionally to give him some type of normalcy in life. He also needs assistance in finding necessary resources to find him an assisted living facility that is near his rehabilitation center located in Orange, CA.
