You all are no stranger to my dog, Banzai.

I can't thank you all enough for helping me save his heart previously. However, despite all the money that was raised, we now need your help for his orthopedic issues.

Banzai had trauma to his pelvis as a puppy, and we hoped that doing at-home rehab, supplements, medications, and good nutrition would keep any progression down to a minimum. He is now in a severe category for disease progression in his hips.

Total hip replacement is on the table if he has enough bone to support this. We see a surgeon on 10/15.

Cancer is also a possibility. He has a veterinary oncologist looking over his case for free as a kind favor to us (his wife was Banzai's heart surgeon). He will let me know soon if Banzai will need an official consult.

His visit to review his heart (yearly echocardiogram), labs, and x-rays ended up costing $2,600. We are pushing for a CT scan of his hips and pelvis, which will cost between $2,000-$3,000. Surgical consult will likely be $250.

I'm not sure what surgery costs will look like or what he will need, but it seems preliminarily it will be one of the below options:

FHO (femoral head ostectomy), total hip replacement, or amputation if he has cancer.

I want to get him the Assisi Loop Lounge to help decrease his inflammation. We used the small loop previously for his shoulders with great success; he just needs a larger device now. This costs $1,999.

Any help to offset these costs will be immensely helpful as I am balancing my own medical issues. Banzai is my world, and I will do anything to help him and give him the best quality of life for as long as possible.
