Hello, I'm Makayla and I'm trying to raise money for my dog Azriel's cancer surgery. Azriel is a dog I rescued back in 2021 at a very tough time in my life. Besides my struggles with mental and physical health, he came to me after suffering severe abuse. But with lots of love and care he has blossomed into an amazing dog, and helped me in so many ways myself. We healed eachothers internal wounds and became eachothers grounding stones. Back in March I discovered a mass on Azriel's mouth. I took him in for a biopsy and discovered it was malignant, and was "oral papillary squamous cell carcinoma". We were referred to an oncologist and they told us besides needing surgery on his jaw to remove the bone the mass is attached to, they want to do scans to make sure it hasn't spread to his tonsils, lymph nodes, and chest. They gave us an estimate for the scans at around $1,330 if not more, and the surgery on his jaw at around $7,000, that is if the cancer hasn't spread. If we don't do anything about it, the cancer will grow to the point he can no longer eat and we will have to put Azz down within a year. They told us the cancer is fast spreading, but if we can get it all out it has a very low chance of reoccurring and Azz can live the rest of his life cancer free and happy. The problem is that I have several health issues that keep me from being able to work, and my boyfriend is the one that supports us. We cannot afford these tests and surgeries and also sustain ourselves, which is why im trying to get any help I can. Any help would be beyond greatly appreciated, and I thank those of you that can help.
