Help Atlas Pay Rent !! Deadline May 1st
UPDATE !! DEADLINE MAY 1ST
We now only need to raise $960 for rent so I've updated the total to $1,135

My name is Atlas and I've struggled with a bingo card's worth of mental health struggles for 8 years now. The last time I had to admit myself to an inpatient facility was in 2019 and it was quite traumatizing, though the some skills I learned got me through the next few years.
Recently (April 2nd) I admitted myself voluntarily to Smokey Point Behavioral Health Center because I was at high risk of harming myself physically if I didn't have everything stripped away from me. My treatment lasted 7 days and I was also traumatized again despite 2 glowing recommendations from my peers. I was trapped in my room for 7 hours and denied food or a wheelchair. I can't go into detail because it's still very fresh but this situation was serious enough for the Director of Risk Management to sit down with me and listen to the whole debacle.
Despite this harrowing experience, I would still recommend this facility to anyone who asks where in the Seattle area they should seek treatment! I learned so much and received incredible psychiatric care as well as lots of great food and a staff that truly cares about you and your well being (despite a few who simply show up for a check).
I also spent time with a therapy dog in the center and it made me realize how badly I needed my own ESA who I plan on training to be a Service Animal for Dissociation and Autism! I've waited years to finally be stable enough to responsibly care for a dog again and the time has finally come. I have a huge fully fenced backyard so I'll be able to let them out to use the bathroom and exercise even on bad body days, and the 2 dogs I'm interested in have no preexisting health conditions which gives me ample time to save up an emergency pet fund should they need to go to the ER for any reason. ^-^ The Humane Society is currently waiving their adoption fees today through Sunday the 13th and I think the stars have finally aligned for me to meet my new helper <3 That being said I need to raise a bit of money to get their food pay for flea/tick deterrent and a few toys and treats!
I'm freshly out of the facility and the 2 words I've been using to describe my current state of being are Fragile and Hopeful. I'm scheduled to start Intensive Outpatient Therapy on Monday to make the transition back into life smoother and it will truly be a full time job (5 hours per day, 5 days a week)
So I am once again asking for your financial support to get me through this month. I need to do whatever I can to focus on my health and well being and I simply don't have that luxury if I am constantly hustling trying to find my next source of money for rent.
Here is a breakdown of how and why the funds will be distributed:
April Rent (Past Due) - $300
May Rent - $1,376
Overdue Bills - $660
Groceries - $150
ESA Supplies - $250
Fun Money - $150
GFM Fees - $84
Total - $2970 (Rounded to $3000)
Please please send $5+ my way if you're able to spare it. You can personally make a huge impact in my life and well being for the price of a shitty late lolol
If you are unable to spare $5+ (and believe me, I GET it) please do your part in helping me find someone who can! I implore you to share my fundraiser on any social media platform you can.
Thank you so much for reading my friend <3 Drink some water, have a snack, and stretch your body a bit!
If you'd like to donate to us directly, my partners Venmo and CashApp are both Dani3Darko, I will update the goal to reflect any money recoeved outside this crowdfund.
