To the beautiful family, friends and community of Kalene, Vinny, Katelyn, little Vinny and baby Carson.

We are writing to share the unimaginable events that have occurred in the past few days, and to ask for your love, prayers, and support during this challenging time.

The Bartolone family was bringing in the New Year with close friends in Ocotillo Wells. What started out as a great day turned into a nightmare.

Kalene and 3 children were riding the dune buggy and were in a horrific accident. This resulted in the jaws of life to extract Kalene from the wreckage and 2 life flight helicopters. Thankfully, all children are okay. Unfortunately, Kalene is not. Her spinal cord was damaged and her L-1 was completely shattered. A 9 hour surgery was performed with thankfully one of the best neurosurgeons in San Diego.

The long road to recovery will be very challenging indeed.

For those of you that know Kalene she is beautiful, smart, cheerful, funny, loving and unbelievable strong! Kalene is married to her best friend Vinny (one of the nicest guys ever). She is also the most loving mom to 3 beautiful children. Katelyn (12) Vinny (9) and Carson 8 months. All three are exceptional humans like their parents full of kindness and love.

It would be such a blessing for the family to concentrate on healing rather than worry about financial burdens. ❤️‍ Donations of all sizes will be greatly appreciated.
