Hi,I’m Angela Bodkin, Jason Hatch’s ex-wife and mother of his child. I’m requesting funds to help us with Jason’s cremation, settling accounts and a small memorial service. If this exceeds the request, those monies would go to their daughter, Muireann DeLay, in lieu of life insurance.

We were contacted regarding Jason’s unexpected passage on May 7, 2026. Jason had a tremendous life. He was intelligent, creative , funny. He had a kind heart and was especially attuned to nature and animals, particularly dogs.

He was a veteran of the Navy, serving as a sonar sub tech stationed out of Norfolk in the mid nineties. His trade was welding and machinist and he started his own company making custom knives, as well as other creative designs.

He had a lot to offer the world, and it breaks my heart that he is no longer part of it. It is our honor to do whatever we can to ensure a proper send off, however, we do not have the reserve funding required for such an undertaking. We need immediate help to pay the crematorium.

With your help, we will be able to pay him all the respect that is due. I appreciate any and all support, even if only in thoughts and prayers.
