Arnold’s Kidney Transplant & Andrea's Journey as the Donor

Hello family and friends.

I am Crystal Mora, Arnold Mora's sister and blessed to have Andrea Mora as my sister-in-law.

In February of this year, my brother Arnold received a Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) diagnosis from his doctor, who also informed him that a kidney transplant was essential for his health. When faced with the challenge of Arnold's health crisis, Arnold and his family immediately started the initial assessment and testing. Andrea's selfless decision to be added to a national kidney exchange list became a testament to their unwavering love and devotion. After months of testing and assessments, they were blessed to discover that Andrea was a perfect match for Arnold - a rarity among couples, occurring in just 1% of cases. This is truly a miracle and a blessing in itself. 1 in every 100,000 persons are a perfect match as husband and wife.

This transplant will grant my brother a renewed lease on life, filled with vitality and promise.

On Wednesday, August 14th, 2024 Arnold and Andrea are set to undergo surgery. However, prior to the procedure, a significant amount of money must be paid upfront. It is well understood that the out-of-pocket costs associated with hospitalization, medication, post-surgical recovery, and rehabilitation are incredibly high and stressful.
