Hello, my name is Megan.

Three weeks ago, my daughter Arista was in a terrible accident. She has suffered many injuries, with the worst of them being some brain damage in the frontal lobe. She has a fracture on her right elbow and needed a skin graft done on that arm as well. Her right leg needed to be amputated all the way to the hip. She is in for a very long road to recovery.

Unfortunately, I live about four hours from the hospital that she is currently in. She was visiting family over the summer when the accident happened. The funds would go towards medical bills as well as help assist with travel and lodging while I am so far from home and needing to be here with my daughter. I am a single mom of three, and I am trying to juggle work, home life, and being here in the hospital as much as I can be.

I truly appreciate anything; no donation is too small. This happened only weeks before her 18th birthday. Once she is discharged from the hospital, she will need to be transferred to a rehab facility where she will receive round-the-clock care, physical therapy, as well as retraining her brain. And hopefully, one day, a prosthetic leg.
