If you know my dad, you know he and my mom LOVE their dogs, and adopted from AARC as well as other shelters in the area. Flowers are nice, but I know my dad would rather help the homeless pets find forever homes. ❤️

Jackson "Jack" Leroy Florian, 80, of Franklin, NC, passed away November 26, 2024. Jack was born April 26, 1944, in Lansing, Michigan to the late Duane and Lorraine Trumble Florian.

Jack was retired after selling his furniture repair business in Florida and moving to Franklin, NC. His favorite pastimes included playing pickleball and golf, and enjoying time with family and friends (usually winning cards at a statistically improbable rate).

Mr. Florian is survived by his wife, Rita Vance Florian; a son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Tara Florian; two granddaughters, Meagan and Madison Florian; "adopted" son Doug Vollmer (Tina Vollmer); three adopted grandkids Abbey, Ethan, and Cooper Vollmer; a sister, Jill Munger (Scott Munger); brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Frank Pierce.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Franklin No-Kill Animal Shelter, Appalachian Animal Rescue Center at 851 Lake Emory Rd, Franklin, NC 28734.
