Family and friends, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share some important news about my life. It’s been a challenging few months, and I feel like putting my thoughts down on paper might help me process everything.

As you know, I’ve been working as a salesman at the dealership for the past few years and only work off of commission. It’s a job I’ve always taken pride in—helping people find the car they need and making sure they drive away happy. Due to my sales job being full commission and I do not receive a pay check unless I make a sale. I will not be receiving any payment for Medical Leave pay and my health insurance provided by my employer denied me short term disability. I plan to be out anywhere from 1 to 2 months depending on how my body recovers. So while I’m out I will not make my weekly paycheck I’m use to making of sales. All I am asking is some help while I’m out on bed rest.

Amid all this, my mother’s health has been on my mind more than anything else. Her kidney disease has progressed, and the doctors say that the only real solution now is a transplant. It’s been heartbreaking to watch her grow weaker, knowing that time is of the essence. When I found out that I was a match for her, I knew what I had to do.

It wasn’t an easy decision—there’s a lot to consider when you’re giving up a part of yourself. But my mother has always been my rock. She’s the one who worked tirelessly to give me a good life, who supported me through every high and low. How could I not do the same for her when she needs me most?

So, I’ve decided to go ahead with the kidney donation. It’s a strange feeling, knowing that I’ll be going through surgery soon, and I’m scared, I won’t lie. But I also know that this is the right thing to do. It’s the one way I can help my mom get her life back, even if it means a little pain and sacrifice on my part.

I know I’ll need some time off from work, and I’m trying to prepare for that financially. It won’t be easy, but at the end of the day, this is about my family, about giving my mom the chance she deserves. Sometimes, life is about more than just making ends meet—it's about the people we love and what we’re willing to do for them.

I hope you understand my decision, and I appreciate any support you can offer during this time. It’s a difficult road ahead, but I’m determined to see it through.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I just needed to share what’s been on my mind and how much I appreciate your help and support.

Thank you , Anthony Cervantes
