Donate to Annie's Medical and Accessibility Needs
Donation protected
As many of you know, this summer has been difficult medically for Annie. In June, she developed what is known as Locked-In Syndrome (the inability to move or speak). Thankfully, after two months of treatment, including a move to the world-renowned Craig Hospital, Annie can now speak, eat, move her arms, and walk with a walker and assistance.
Last week, our family met with Annie's therapists and medical team, and they gave us a better idea of her future medical needs. Even though we’ve seen amazing progress, we know we have a long road ahead to get Annie as independent as possible. There is the cost of medical bills and everyday expenses that have accrued while she has been unable to work, as well as the modifications that will need to be made to her house to meet her new accessibility demands. Now that we have a better idea of Annie’s future medical needs, we are starting this GoFundMe to give people who have wanted to help an opportunity to do so.
Thank you for your continued thoughts, prayers, good vibes, and support. It really means a lot to Annie and the whole family. Keep ‘em coming!
