Donate to Anne Marie's Fight Against MS
Donation protected
We will be hosting "The Slamo Jam", a fundraising event at Crescent Yacht Club in Haverhill, MA on September 21st, and welcome all to come out to support Amo and Brian. If you're unable to make it we would truly appreciate any small contribution to support Anne Marie and Brian as they navigate these difficult times. All donations will go to medical expenses and any shortfall in living expenses as extended time off work is required during these hard times.
As some of you may or may not know, Anne Marie "Amo" Skafas grew up in Lynnfield, Massachusetts alongside her three older brothers, Mark, Brian, and Pete O'Hearn. Amo has always been a fun-loving, vibrant soul that was known around the Lynnfield area for her passion for sports, playing an array of athletic activities including softball, cheerleading, tennis, and golf. After graduating from SNHU, formerly known as New Hampshire College, Amo became a bartender at bar called Alicia's where she met a friendly patron and they quickly realized they were meant to be. After 7 years the love birds, Amo and Brian Skafas, wed in 1996 surrounded by all of their friends and family and have been soulmates ever since.
Around 20 years ago Anne Marie was tragically diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Over the years, Amo's husband, Brian, alongside all of their family and friends, have worked tirelessly to ensure that Amo is receiving the medical resources and support she needs to keep fighting this ruthless battle. Brian Skafas has shown so much strength and support as a husband, moving from New Hampshire to Massachusetts to get Amo the best healthcare possible, taking off time from work to care for her, but unfortunately like most of us, just doesn't have the means to pay for all medical expenses that come with an unexpected tragedy like this.
Thank you!
