Donate to Anne: A Pillar of Our Community is in Need

My name is Jeanette DeRubeis and I am creating this fundraiser for my beloved dog sitter of many years and friend, Anne. She is a local resident of Williams for over 9 years, helping many of you that I know personally watch your animals and create a safe environment where you can feel good about leaving your fur babies! This is a priceless gift.

Ann has many times when I haven't had the money to pay but needed to go or needed to work, she was there willing, money or not. She gave me many opportunities to go and make money to be able to afford care. This year has presented my dear friend with many challenges, including a separation from her longtime partner who left her with many unpaid bills, paying for all their animals, and many other things I won't name here. Just the task of feeding all of her permanent animals and buying the food for the dogs and horses is a huge chunk every month. On top of that, Anne has MS and does incredibly well for the amount of pain she endures daily. She has been going back and forth to Southern Ca for doctor's visits and has to pay for flights or rides as well as house care for those days she is gone. Right now, the immediate need is 10k to cover the past month and what is coming in the next week. Things are urgent and Ann never asks for help. But she needs it right now! She has helped so many of us in the community. I would not be where I am now if Ann was not willing to help me all the times I asked. She has offered her home to me many times when I did not have a place and always made sure for me to know and understand that I could come to her as a second home. Please ANYTHING you feel in your heart to donate it will be going straight to Ann’s bank account.

Anne also used to ride horses and she still takes care of her two Horses howdy and princess and provides feed and hay for them and STILL goes out daily to scoop poop and make sure the yard is taken care of. The chores are OVERWHELMING and with financial strain on top of that and not being able to drive anywhere having a bit of a cushion can provide a little bit of breathing room to handle the everyday and keep food in the fridge.

AlSO NEEDED: someone to weekly go to food bank in Williams and bring anne a box for the week, someone who is willing to make an errand run bi-weekly for Anne. (For clarity I live in Redding now so I am unable to help as much as I would if I was still in Williams)

Few notes from Anne:

All of my cushion is gone, between 2 trips to OC for my medical, $2,300 for my cat, and $2,800 in extra bills that keep coming up that individuals have not paid.

When my momma died, she had over 70+ cats that the animal shelters asked her to take. I took care of them for over a year, costing about $900 a month to feed and for cat litter. Only 2 of the cats were not spayed; however, I did not know who the 2 were. A veterinarian told me to bring 3 cats a week and be charged $25 per cat, totaling over $1,700. The total care cost me over $12,000, not including her house payments, electricity, water, insurance, etc.

I was able to find homes for all in a little over a year.

I also took in rescue dogs, along with foster dogs. I was promised they would pay for their feed, spay, nurturing, and shots. They did not.

I helped a lot of humans too.

My MS started as relapsing and now it is progressive.

All my dogs need their teeth done too.
