Help Support Melissa Through Her Battle with Cancer

Hi everyone, my niece, Melissa is currently facing one of the toughest battles of her life as she was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer. At 45 years old, she still has so much life ahead of her, with two beautiful children and three precious grandchildren who love her dearly. She’s determined to fight for them, but the financial burden of cancer treatment is weighing heavily on her.

Melissa is an incredibly hard-working medical assistant, dedicating her life to helping others in the healthcare field. Yet, despite her relentless work ethic, the cost of her cancer treatment is overwhelming.

She is currently undergoing radiation and chemotherapy at Tampa General Hospital, which requires a $6,000 upfront payment before her insurance can cover the rest. And, she is also being charged an $80 co-payment every time she goes in for treatment. Throughout 18 treatments, her co-payment total alone adds up to over $1,440. The combined cost of her overall treatment totals up to $7440-money that she simply doesn’t have.

No one should have to worry about money while they’re fighting for their health and their life. That’s why I’m reaching out to our friends, family, and community for support. The financial strain shouldn’t add to the emotional toll of battling cancer, and with your help, we can ensure that my niece, Melissa can continue receiving the life-saving treatment she needs to focus on what matters most: her health, her kids, and her grandkids.
